What is a pressed flower frame?

Pressed flower frames are made by carefully pressing your wedding flowers using wood, bolts, cardboard, and paper to slowly draw out moisture and create a beautifully preserved design. After your flowers are delivered, we deconstruct the bouquet and place each bloom into the press in a way that best suits the flower type. The paper and cardboard are changed frequently during the process, which takes several weeks to fully dry and preserve your flowers. Once dry, we arrange the flowers to mimic your wedding bouquet in a frame.

What is a shadow box?

Our shadow boxes are created using silica sand, which draws moisture out of the flowers while preserving their beautiful color and three-dimensional shape. After receiving your bouquet, we gently deconstruct the flowers and place them in airtight bins filled with silica sand. As the flowers dry, subtle color changes may occur. Once complete, each bloom is thoughtfully arranged in a shadow box to mimic the look of your wedding bouquet.

What size frame do I need?
Frame size depends on bouquet size and design preference, but here are general guidelines:

  • 16''x20'' – Fits most standard bouquets

  • 11''x14'' – Fits approximately â…“ to ½ of a bouquet

  • 8''x10'' & 8''x8'' – Fits less than ¼ of a bouquet

Will my flowers lose color over time?

Over time, flower colors may gradually fade due to heat, moisture, and light exposure. To help preserve their vibrancy, we provide color correction during the preservation process so your keepsake looks its best. We recommend keeping your piece out of direct sunlight, as we do not use UV-protective glass. Avoid harsh cleaning products. Some natural fading or color changes may still occur over time.

Will my pressed flowers look different than they did originally?
Flowers naturally change color when pressed. Many flowers press darker, and white flowers may turn beige or ivory. To help maintain their original appearance, we offer light color correction to better reflect how your flowers looked when they were fresh.

What is color correction?

Color correction involves carefully applying pigment to the flowers to enhance and restore their original color while maintaining a natural appearance.
